Free stuff, y'all.

Did you know the City of El Paso Environmental Services Department has a warehouse where you can shop for household items El Pasoans throw out or donate that are still in good condition?

It's called The Country Warehouse, and it's located within the Citizen Collection Station at 3510 Confederate on the far East Side.

Whenever someone throws out or drops off household items they no longer want or need, such as washers, dryers, TVs, or furniture in fairly good condition, or things like bicycles and lawnmowers that still have life in them, Environmental Services tries to get than into a new home for someone else to use before carting them off to the landfill.

All items are free on an "as is," first come first serve basis. You can take up to 5 items per month, and all you need is a recent water bill and a matching I.D. to shop.

Like the saying goes, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” So next time you need something around the house and don't have the money to buy new, see what treasures await you at the Country Warehouse.

Citizen Collection Stations are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
