The Segundo Barrio's Houchen Community Center closed last month after more than 100 years in existence, but officials with the Houchen Board of Directors say they are coming back with an organic market

$10,000 has been collected from community donations, but Houchen is hoping to talk to philanthropic, and wealthy, El Pasoans who would be willing to donate more. The Houchen day care center will house the planned organic market, something Houchen thinks the community needs.

Houchen's board says the neighborhood has changed a lot in the last 10 years, and they want to keep up with the changes. Plans for the new Houchen organic market are still in the works, and there is no word on when it will open.
