Hollywood Dirt: Beyonce & Jay-Z Officially Announce Daugher + Breastfeeding Moms Consider Lawsuit over Bey’s Baby Drama

BEYONCE AND JAY-Z OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE BLUE’S ARRIVAL: BEYONCE AND JAY-Z have “officially” welcomed their baby daughter, Blue Ivy, to the world. It’s the family’s first public announcement regarding the birth and reveals that she was delivered naturally, instead of reports that claimed she was born via c-section.

“Hello Hello Baby Blue!” read the note from couple. “We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven.” The statement continues, “She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”

On a related note … Beyonce’s personal friends made it a point to congratulate her, but NOT former Destiny’s Child group member Michelle Williams. “Let’s get ONE thing straight,” she tweeted, “I do NOT have to say congrats to someone when they’re NOT on twitter…ESPECIALLY when I talk or email them all the time….My friendship with people aren’t always for twitter display. Respect that and get a LIFE!!!” Sounds like it’s a sensitive subject, huh?

JAY-Z RAPS ABOUT ‘GLORY’ OF BLUE’S BIRTH: Blue Ivy isn’t even a week old and she’s already featured on a track. Proud pappa Jay-Z has written a song about her, and not only is she credited on the track, she’s even heard crying at the end. (–Click HERE to listen.)

In the song, Jay says that the baby girl was conceived in Paris, and reveals that the couple suffered a miscarriage. He sings, “Last time the miscarriage was tragic / We was afraid you’d disappear but nah baby you’re magic.”

By the way … Bay and Z aren’t the only celebs who’ve named their kid some form of blue. Cher has a son named Elijah Blue Allman, John Travolta’s daughter is named Ella Bleu Travolta, Bret Michaels has a daughter named Jorja Bleu, Alicia Silverstone named her son Bear Blu, and Maria Bello’s son is named Jackson Blue

BREASTFEEDING MOMS CONSIDER LAWSUIT OVER BEYONCE BABY DRAMA: According to TMZ, other new moms at the hospital Blue Ivy was born have been complaining about how they are being treated now that the superstars’ offspring has arrived. Sources say that mothers who have been taking a breastfeeding class at the hospital have been discussing how they’ve been “neglected” by staff, and are thinking about filing a lawsuit. The mothers are reportedly not mad at the stars, but at the people who run the hospital.

Lenox Hill is denying they gave the couple special treatment. “The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true,” read a statement from the hospital. The facility did confirm that Beyonce had their own personal security on hand at the hospital, but says they were in charge of controlling the management of security, and insist they made “every effort” to keep the disruption of other patients to a minimum.
