Whataburger has teamed up for the second year with the El Paso Chihuahuas for a food drive at Southwest University Park that will benefit the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank. The drive begins today, May 19) and will run through this Sunday, May 22.

If you are going to watch the Chihuahuas take on the Texas Rangers Triple A team, the Round Rock Express, bring a non-perishable food item to drop off at the Santa Fe gate. That is the entrance across the street from Cleveland Square park. All items donated will go to the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank.

Non-perishable food items include canned vegetables and fruits, soups, tuna, peanut butter, boxed pastas and cereals, and staples like packaged rice and beans. If you don't want to bring a food item, you can also donate cash. If you donate three or more canned goods, non-perishable food items, or one dollar, Whataburger will give you one coupon good for a free Whataburger, while supplies last. It's a win-win situation.

Helen of Troy will be lending a helping hand on Saturday, May 21, from 8:00 a.m. - noon at the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank headquarters to sort food, do some cleaning, office work, and other things that are necessary at the warehouse. If you would be interested in helping out, you can register at bit.ly/All_Paws_In.
