Haunted Southern New Mexico: Double Eagle Restaurant in Old Mesilla [VIDEO]

Vimeo

The oldest building on the plaza in Historic Old Mesilla is home to the Double Eagle Restaurant. It’s also said to be home to not one, but two ghosts! Legend has it that a couple of young lovers, he an aristocrat, she a lowly servant, were killed by his disapproving mother in the early 1850′s and inhabit what is now the Double Eagle to this day.

Reports of full bodied apparitions, furniture moving, and other-worldly whispering have circulated for many, many years. It is these tales that brought together a joint investigation of the Double Eagle by a team from Southwest Paranormal Investigations, and friend of the show Ramiro Galvan of Paranormal Research Investigations.

The results, filmed by several students from Albuquerque as part of a student project, can be viewed below.
