Green Grappler Making A Stop in Las Cruces Soon

Las Cruces is making an effort to curb some of the waste that comes into the Corralitos waste area by having a second grappler come around, but this one isn't like the other.

Starting July 1^st the Green Grappler will hit the road in Las Cruces. The difference in this grappler is that it will only be picking up  green waste. This includes tree branches, grass clippings, and leaves then is will be transporting it to the old Foothills Landfill for mulching and composting.

Residents are asked to stock up on clear heavy-duty plastic bags which are available at stores such as Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement. The clear bags will allow grappler drivers to see that the material inside is grass clippings or leaves, and not trash.
