Great Moments in Broadcasting: News Caption Fails

Sometimes the subject of the news story can’t be clearly explained in the caption that shows up on the screen. And sometimes the person keying in the caption isn't paying the proper attention. Either way that leads to some inadvertently humorous moments for those of us watching the news.

The website BuzzFeed recently posted some of those unintentionally comical local news captions, from which I’ve chosen a handful of what I thought were the more overtly hilarious screen shots and re-posted them here for your viewing pleasure.
