The annual AskMen “Great Male Survey” — designed to shed light “on how the modern man thinks and behaves” — was recently released, and according to one portion of the particularly insightful ‘Dating & Sex’ section most men like to believe they can bring the romance.

• 28% — Very often
• 18% — Not very often
• 2% — Never

“Of the following things, what best motivates you to be romantic?”

• 72% — Feeling close to my wife or girlfriend
• 20% — The possibility of sex
• 2% — It’s a good way to apologize
• 1% — Needing a personal favor
