Perhaps you’ve heard me say once or twice on the radio how much I loved the cover version of Gotye’s "Somebody That I Used to Know" recently performed on the show by ‘Glee’ cast member Darren Criss and guest star Matt Bomer. Well, Gotye apparently didn’t dig it as much I did. In one interview he called it “ultra-dry,” adding that it had “no real sense . . . like it's playing to you from a cardboard box." And in another, he said the cover, quote, "made [his song] sound dinky and wrong." Watch the "Glee" cover below and tell me if you agree with Gotye.

And here's a couple of things you may not know about "Somebody That I Used to Know" ...

--Having been born in Belgium -- he moved to Australia when he was two -- Gotye is the first native of that country to top the Hot 100 since the Singing Nun did in 1963 with "Dominique."

--Gotye is the first Australian-raised act to top the Hot 100 since Savage Garden in 2000. He's the first solo Australian artist to be at number-one since Olivia Newton-John in 1981, and the first Australian male to rise up to the top spot since Rick Springfield in 1981.
