Good Samaritan Helps A Broken-Down Van Out Of Traffic, Then Calls El Paso Police Because They Smelled Pot
A van broke down on a westside street on Friday and a good Samaritan helped push it out of traffic.
But something made that nice person pause a moment and then call the El Paso Police Department. When officers got to the scene around -- and no I'm not making this up -- 4:20 in the afternoon, they said they could detect a strong smell of the marijuana coming from the abandoned van.
When they opened the van up, they found 2,275 pounds of pot inside.
There were no arrests made in the case. Police are still investigating the incident.
