The City of El Paso is going to unveil the Paseo De Las Luces project that will light the corridor in the heart of El Paso’s Downtown Shopping District. The public is invited to a lighting ceremony, musical performances and giveaways Wednesday, November 7.

City officials say they wanted to honor our heritage by reenergizing the downtown shopping district.
Paseo de las Luces will highlight South El Paso Street between the Santa Fe International Bridge and San Jacinto Plaza as a walkable and welcoming space for residents and visitors.

There will be signature archways at the entrances to the heritage corridor along with string lights that span the width of the street and wrap around new trees. There are also other street improvements that will enhance street and pedestrian safety.
