The Glenn Miller Orchestra will be performing in El Paso for one night only this August.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra, straight from New York City and most popular in the swing era, will be performing favorite and timeless classics like, 'Moonlight Serenade', 'Pennsylvania 6-5000', 'In the Mood', 'I’ve Got a Gal In) Kalamazoo' and many more on August 18, 2015 at the Plaza Theatre in downtown El Paso.

Glenn Miller, the legendary bandleader, was the most successful of all the dance bandleaders back in the big band era of the 1930s and 40s. Miller joined the Army in 1942 and while traveling to entertain U.S. troops in France during WWII, the aircraft carrying Miller and other troops disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel.

The popularity of Glenn Miller was so huge that Hollywood even made a movie simply titled, The Glenn Miller Story in 1954 starring James Stewart portraying Miller.

Tickets on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets around town, charge-by-phone at (800)745-3000 or The Plaza Theatre Box Office.
