When the popular paranormal television reality show Ghost Adventures came to El Paso this past July searching for ghosts, the crew had any number of places to choose from as this town is not for the lack of haunted buildings and sinister locations.

The ghost hunters settled on arguably two of the city's most active sites; Concordia Cemetery and the downtown De Soto Hotel.

With a history that dates back to the 1880′s, Concordia has more than its share of documented ghostly apparitions, shadow people, and disembodied voices.

The 100-plus year-old De Soto Hotel has some serious ghost action of its own going on, particularly the hotel's basement which is said to be home to at least three spirits -- one of which claims to be a demonic force.

The results of both investigations will be included on the television show's 2016 two hour Halloween special this Saturday, October 29. The episode titled "Route 666" will also feature interviews with Henry Flores, founder and President of Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society, and Bernie Sargent, chair of the El Paso County Historical Commission.

They, as well as Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society Vice President Bonnie Juarez, will share local history and spine-tingling tales of some of their own ghostly encounters.

If you're a fan of the show and you're looking for a viewing alternative to your couch, Henry and company invite you to come watch the episode at the cemetery.

El Paso's turn in the national paranormal spotlight will be shown on the back wall inside the graveyard beginning at 7 p.m. as part of the Concordia Heritage Association's Dia De Los Muertos Festival.

It'll cost $5 to get in ($1 under 17, $2 Military and 60+). All proceeds go towards the restoration and upkeep of the historic cemetery.

Bring your own chairs.
