New September dates are now available for various free medical services for senior citizens of El Paso.

Vaccinations for Health is a program that teams up the El Paso Fire Department with the El Paso Health Department to provide free influenza and pneumonia vaccines, blood pressure and glucose screenings and colorectal screening kits for seniors.

Senior citizens will be able to stop by at the following locations from 8-11 a.m. and can also take advantage of the new influenza vaccine as the new flu season begins.

  • Saturday Sept. 19: Station 16, 3828 Hercules Ave.
  • Wednesday Sept. 23: Station 20, 8301 Edgemere Blvd.
  • Saturday Sept. 26: Station 24, 1498 Lomaland Dr.

Medical services are free to residents aged 50 and over who do not have medical insurance or are on Medicaid. Seniors are encouraged to take advantage of the program. The goal of the program is to increase the wellness of our senior citizens in our community who do not have access to these services.
