If you have kids, or you want a pair of affordable shoes, for the longest time, Payless Shoe Source was your go to place. It's looking more and more, however, like that the budget-priced shoe store chain is going the way of the dinosaur.

Payless Shoe Source announced earlier this year that they were filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They closed down hundreds of stores across the country, including their stores in El Paso at Cielo Vista Mall, Sunland Park Mall, downtown at 119 S. Stanton, and on the east side at 1900 Lee Trevino.

Another round of nationwide closures was announced earlier this week. Four more stores in El Paso were also put on the chopping block. Those stores are:

500 S. El Paso St.
7845 N. Mesa St.
Las Palmas Marketplace at 11917 Gateway Blvd. West
Sunland Plaza store at 725 Sunland Park Dr.

The Payless Shoe Source store inside the White Sands Mall in Alamogordo will also be closed. So far, no stores have been closed in Las Cruces.
