Fort Bliss Soldier Arrested In Connection With The Death Of His Son

There is some horrible news out of Fort Bliss today.  An 11 month old child is dead, and El Paso Police say his 22-year-old father, a soldier stationed at Fort Bliss, murdered him.
11-month-old Aiden Jackson died February 8th after paramedics found him with a fractured skull and injuries to his throat and ankle.  The El Paso Police Department says they believe Aiden's injuries happened the previous day when he was left in the care of his father.

Private First Class Adam Keith Jackson was arrested yesterdayat the County Courthouse yesterday as he attended a custody hearing.  It is not known who the hearing involved, but there are photos of the older daughter of Jackson's wife, Lexi, on Lexi's Facebook page.  She also posted this to her baby son:

"Dear, Aiden Keith Jackson, I love you so much son, I cnt explain how hurt I am right now by this I jus wish I could've seen u an held u one last time momie && daddy kno ur in a better place we never wanted u to leave us but god called u hme today baby && all we can do is b strong ... "

Aiden was buried on February 22nd.

Fort Bliss officials say because Aiden was killed off-post, the El Paso Police Department has jurisdiction in the case, and they are cooperating with them.  The Post will not release more information because the investigation into Aiden's death is ongoing.
