Fort Bliss to Conduct Mass Casualty Exercise on September 11

Fort Bliss will be conducting an on base exercise that will affect traffic to the area.

Exercise Iron Response 13 is scheduled on Wednesday, Sept 11, 9am to 3pm.

This exercise will include use of the Buffalo Soldier Gate, formerly Robert E. Lee Gate.

Concurrently a MASCAL (mass casualty) exercise within the boundaries of the following streets on west Bliss: Carter, Doniphan and Holbrook, and 1st Armored Division units exercising increased highly visible security postures.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid these areas as traffic delays are expected.

Area residents, spectators and those passing near the area should NOT be alarmed, the exercise may appear to be real however, it is ONLY an exercise.
