El Pasoan Aaron Jones had his first 100 yard game as an NFL running back on Sunday (10/8) -- and against his favorite childhood team, no less.

With the team’s top two running backs out, the former UTEP Miner and Burges High School alum stepped up huge for the Green Bay Packers rolling up 125 yards and scoring a touchdown in his first NFL start.

According to the NFL guy in charge of finding and putting up stats during a game, Jones is the first Packer rookie to rush for 100 yards in his first start since 2005.

Aaron's breakout performance was bittersweet for El Paso Cowboys fans. Many took to social media to express disappointment with the loss, but congratulated #33 both on his game and for representing UTEP and his hometown on national television.

Way to go, Jones. As a life-long fan of the silver star, though, I just wish it would've been some other Sunday.
