Adams called 911 in March 2015 saying her fiancé Richard Harris wasn't breathing. When EMT got to the home they noticed the man had been dead for 3-6 hours as rigor mortis had already set in. Following Harris' autopsy report, the test found traces of Tramadol, a painkiller, and Propofol, which can only be administered by a trained professional.

After her fiancé’s death, Adams then left the county to move to a small town in Nevada. She was arrested, just days ago on accusations of her fiancés suspicious death. It was also discovered that she cashed a check off of his personal account in the amount of $5,000 and forged his name to it.

Adams also faces two counts of forgery and one count of tampering with evidence. She has been extradited from Nevada to the Sierra County Jail.
