Five Guys, Panda Express, and Taco Cabana are among the restaurants that may be coming to a planned new Northeast El Paso shopping center.

The prevalent feeling in the area is that the booming far east side and west El Paso get all the new restaurant and store openings, but if site plans for the North Hills Crossing center to be built on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and US-54 are any indication, that will soon be changing.

According to the El Paso Development News website, the brokerage and leasing firm RJL Real Estate Consultants is working to fill the space with a mix of large and medium sized retailers as well as restaurants, and is floating a couple of plans out there.

One site plan shows a Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Panda Express, Whataburger, Chick-Fil-A, and Dunkin’ Donuts along with a Walmart Market grocery store, Ross, Marshalls, and Rack Room locations. The other has a Taco Cabana and Peter Piper Pizza, as well as a JCPenney and Michael's as tenants.

Before you get your hopes up too high, be aware that everything is barely in the planning stages and construction has not even started, so any and all potential occupants of the shopping center are subject to change.
