The weather is heating up, and it's the perfect time to learn how to grow pretty and delicious things in containers, and learn how to grow herbs to make your cooking even better. There's no reason to buy expensive herbs at the grocery store when you can walk outside and snip them from your own beautiful plants.

El Paso County Master Gardners is offering two free classes, one in container gardening which is perfect for people like me who don't have a green thumb, but who want to grow stuff. You can also container garden in a small space like apartment patios.

The other class being offered is how to grow herbs. There is nothing cooler than seeing a bunch of pots filled with rosemary, thyme, and other herbs that you can just snip off and use in your recipes like you're doing a Cooking Channel show. You'll be able to wow everyone with your green thumb and your cooking!
