Fee-Free Weeks for National New Mexico Parks – Celebrating the Centennial Year
Been wanting to take the family out to White Sands? Wait until this week and get in free!
Everyone is encouraged to get out and #FindYourPark during National Park week which will run through April 24th. The National Park Service, which is celebrating its centennial year, manages 410 locations across the country. Some of the more popular ones within a 1 - 6 hour drive from Las Cruces or El Paso include Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, White Sands National Monument and Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument.
The most popular of the parks is White Sands National monument and it is welcoming visitors with open arms during this celebration with no fees! You can get in absolutely free no matter how many family members or cars drive in. The purpose of the free celebration is to #FindYourPark. This initiative was done in hopes families will try other parks and find new places to visit.
