What time does the El Paso Chihuahuas game start? Where can I park? Can I bring food to the ballpark? If you’re headed downtown today for the sold-out Opening Day game at Southwest University Park, you probably have a lot of questions. Here are some of the answers to make your Opening Day experience a little easier.

1. What time does the game start?The gates to the ballpark open at 5 p.m., and the game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.

2. Where can I park? Here is a map of parking locations around downtown. If you want to let Sun Metro do the driving, check out this list of locations where you can park and ride.

3. What can I bring into the ballpark? What is banned from the ballpark? You can bring diaper bags, backpacks, umbrellas, strollers and still cameras to the ballpark. Leave your outside food or drinks, coolers, lawn chairs, weapons, or pets (unless they are service dogs) at home.

4. What restaurants and bars will be open? Soho Cocktail Lounge, Café Central, and Kipp’s Cheesesteak are just a few of the downtown restaurants and bars that will be open for business tonight. A complete list can be found here.

The important thing to remember about tonight is there will be a lot of people, a lot of cars, and a lot of confusion about how things work. Those things will eventually work themselves out, so just be patient, and let’s play ball!
