Fans Take Over National Anthem at Boston Bruins Hockey Game

If you’re not already emotional over the bombings in Boston, this will definitely get you. Last night before the Bruins’ first home game since the attack, Rene Rancourt — who has been singing the National Anthem at Boston Bruins hockey games for the last 37 years — was only able to sing the first few lines. That’s because the crowd, which was already emotional because of a montage of scenes from the marathon that had just played on the jumbo screen, overpowered him and took over singing our National Anthem.
