Facebook Data Center Coming to New Mexico

I bet many of the residents will "like" this news for the economy in their neighborhood. Facebook recently announced that they will be opening a new data center in Los Lunas, New Mexico, just South of Albuquerque.

Facebook execs discussed how this will be one of the most advanced, energy-efficient data centers in the world. And it will be right in our backyard! The multibillion dollar project will mean hundreds of construction jobs, dozens of long term operation jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in new investment to New Mexico.

All of this news came just Wednesday and it was announced on Facebook so you know what they say, it's not official until it's on Facebook!
