I guess Mark Zuckerberg is doing just fine with his little Facebook business, Facebook just announced today that they are building a $1 billion dollar data center in Fort Worth, Texas. As a matter of fact, it is already under construction.

This is not the first data center for Facebook, this will be number 5 but it is by far the biggest. The data center will used wind powered from a large wind farm that is just about 90 miles away in Clay County. The wind powered farm is also huge, at about 17,000 acres. This isn't the first time a Facebook data center uses wind energy, the center in Iowa was the first to use it.

Google has used over $2 billion dollars in clean power and it has proven a great plan for web services so Facebook wanted to jump on the wagon. If grid energy cost raise the wind idea could benefit Facebook in the long run.
