Keep your eyes on the skies, because the 2016 El Paso Balloon Festival is set to take over Bowen Ranch on Memorial Day Weekend! Bring out the whole family for a festival atmosphere, with a full fair, hay rides, champagne tastings, picnics -- and of course -- hot-air balloons galore!
The festival kicks off Saturday night, May 28, with the Soldier Salute and Sunset Balloon Glow -- both free to the public. The Soldier Salute celebrates the purpose of Memorial Day weekend with a performance of a color guard and a lantern lift-off. The Balloon Glow features live music, glow vendors, food trucks and beautifully lit hot-air balloons, weather permitting.
Sunday and Monday, enjoy Sunrise Balloon Glows with breakfast food trucks and specially-shaped balloons. Festival activities will take place throughout both days, including hay rides, pony rides, a petting zoo, calf-roping and other real ranch activities. Meanwhile, the adults can head to the saloon for champagne tastings, beer and live music!
