The El Paso Independent School District is working to make it easier to get your kids into pre-K. They are expanding their dual-language program to pre-K at Barron, Schuster, Fannin, Bond, Cielo Vista, Crockett, MacArthur, and Kohlberg elementary schools. Kids at those schools will be in classes that will focus on dual-language science, math, technology and art.

Right now, pre-K is offered to students who are learning English, or come from low-income, military, or homeless families. If a child doesn't meet those criteria, parents can pay tuition at schools that have space available. The new pre-K dual-language program will be available to all families on a first come, first served basis. District officials say the registration information for the program will be released in the spring.

Superintendent Juan Cabrera said EPISD is offering these new classes to bring high-quality programs to even more students.
