Fans of The Purple One who want to go crazy and get nuts to his music should hop in their little red Corvette and head over to the Plaza Theatre this weekend.

On Saturday (Feb. 25), the El Paso Symphony Orchestra will be jamming out to tunes from Prince’s extensive catalog accompanied by a full rock band and one of the country’s leading Prince tribute singer. The 2 hour setlist will include familiar classics like Purple Rain and Kiss, as well as “lots of new musical colors,” according to the symphony website.

That sounds like a fun show. And, hey, it’s not everyday you get to see El Pasoans pull out their cellphone flashlights to Purple Rain at the symphony!
