If you’re the mom of boys, you know that at some point you’re going to have to buy them a Big Wheel. Boys dig going as fast as they can on those iconic 3 wheelers, and then figuring out how to do the spin stop. Three wheels are cool and everything, but kids today like things a little faster, that's the City wants to see which kid is the fastest on 4 wheels this weekend with a Power Wheels Kids Car Race!

The City’s Parks and Rec Department is holding the free Power Wheels Kids Car Race this Saturday, March 8th, at 9 a.m. The race course at the parking lot adjacent to the Marty Robbins Recreation Center, 11620 Vista Del Sol, will have three levels of difficulty. Space is limited, so go to the Parks and Rec website, or any city recreation center for more information and to sign up.

There will be 3 different divisions: 4 and 5-year-olds, 6 and 7-year-olds, and 8 and 9-year-olds. All racers have to provide and wear their own helmets. Kids don’t have to wear goggles or protective eyewear, but it is recommended that they do. No battery modifications will be allowed.
