We're still a few weeks away from summer vacation, but it's time to start thinking about the upcoming school year. The Ysleta Independent School District has opened registration for their Pre-K for All program.

The program is open to El Paso area families even if they don't live in the YISD district or cannot afford pre-k tuition. Pre-K For All is a free program at 15 campuses in YISD. Kids can attend free pre-k at the following campuses: the Parkland and Ysleta Pre-K centers; Constance Hulbert, East Point, Eastwood Heights, Edgemere, Glen Cove, LeBarron Park, Loma Terrace, Pasodale, Pebble Hills, Sageland, Scotsdale, Tierra Del Sol, and Vista Hills elementary schools.

Pre-K registration packets can be picked up right now at participating campuses, or you can make an appointment to register from April 16-20. There is only a limited number of slots available, so get your child registered as soon as possible. Your child will need to be at the school when you go to register them. Here are some other requirements:

1. The child who is going to be registered has to be 4 years old by September 1.
2. You will need the child’s Social Security card, immunization record, and birth certificate, as well as the parent’s photo I.D. and the current month’s utility bill (gas, water, or electric only), or a home contract or lease.

If you want more information, you can log onto the YISD website.
