Bodega Loya is one of Socorro’s best historical hidden gems, which sits just 20 minutes from downtown El Paso.

Formerly Sarah Farm and made up of original adobe homes, the charming family farm dates back to the 1890s.

Over the last few years, Marty Loya, who grew up on the farm, and her husband Ralph have been working in their spare time to bring the farm back to life, transforming the farm to showcase dozens of artists, a coffee & juice bar, and a place to score locally sourced produce and products.

At Bodega Loya, patrons will find a beautiful selection of fragrant herbs, nuts, fruits, and vegetables such as purple opal basil, carrots, cilantro, Swiss chard, melons, arugula, spring mix, squash, and much more.

And this weekend, Bodega Loya is teaming up with the Frontera Land Alliance and inviting the public to help at the farm for Latino Conservation Week.

During the week-long celebration, activities encourage conservation efforts and provide an opportunity for the Latino community to show their support and make an impact while “permanently protecting our land, water, and air.”
