El Paso’s Free Music Concert Series – Who’s Playing Where This Week

There’s plenty to see and do in El Paso — especially this time of the year. And a lot of it involves eating, drinking, and watching local bands jam for free. Here’s a roundup of who’s playing at which free music concert series this week in El Paso:

Wednesday

The Rudolph Free Music Series at the State Line Bar-B-Q. Shows are 21 and older. On the patio from 8 to 10 p.m. This week, The Lusitania. More Info

Thursday

Cool Canyon Nights. WestStar Bank presents Cool Canyon Nights in the cool shade of the 1,500-seat McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre. Music starts at 6:15 p.m. Concessions, including beer, will be for sale. This week, it's Sha' Vonne on the main stage and C.W. Ayon on the patio. More Info

Alfresco! Fridays. This week, La Explosion Lagunera. 6 p.m. Arts Festival Plaza (between El Paso Museum of Art and Plaza Theatre). No outside food or beverages, or pets allowed. More Info

Saturday

Dancing In the City. The outdoor dance/concert series includes a dance lesson at 7:00 p.m. and a live music performance from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. In the Arts Festival Plaza (between El Paso Museum of Art and Plaza Theatre). This week, merengue band Sobredosis del Sabor. Call 541-4481 for more info.

Sunday

Melodies at the Park. This annual series highlights a variety of local acts while showcasing some of the city's parks. All shows start at 7 p.m. This week bring your neon sticks, florescent gear and costume to Eastwood Park (Album Park), 3001 Parkwood, for an electronic and music light show by Sound, Music and Lighting Productions.
