One of the harbingers of spring in the El Paso area is the annual Poppies Fest at the El Paso Museum of Archaeology, 4301 Woodrow Bean Transmountain Road, Saturday, April 2nd.

You won't be able to park at the museum. Parking will be at the El Paso Community College. It's free and shuttle buses will be running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You'll be able to see a live wolf from the Wolf Sanctuary near Albuquerque and an eagle or hawk from the El Paso Zoo. The El Paso Youth Symphony and dance group, Danza La Palma, will be performing, and there will be free tours of the area throughout the day. You can also grab a bite to eat from various food vendors.
