El Pasoan Belly Dances and Auditions for ‘American Idol’ Judges

It's not often you get the chance to belly dance in front of Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick, Jr.

El Pasoan Cody Ostrenga can check that off his bucket list.

Ostrenga, a 23-year-old executive assistant, was one of the last hopefuls given the opportunity to audition before the esteemed American Idol judges in San Francisco during it's last ever audition round.

And although all three were clearly entertained by his many talents, which included belly dancing and some kind of horseback riding/shooting thing, they weren't as impressed with his singing. And unfortunately for Cody, Idol is a singing competition. So no Golden Ticket for him.

But, hey, how many people can say they belly danced for JLo and confused her for Shakira?
