The El Paso Zoo is joining forces for National Endangered Species Day. Currently the El Paso Zoo has 2 species on the endangered list.

The Asian Elephant and the orangutan at the El Paso Zoo are on the Endangered list and the El Paso Zoo is joining other zoo's nationwide today to raise awareness.

May 15th is the day, today! It is observed in order to help the public consider what it would be like to not be able to see, learn from, or connect with these incredible animals.The special day also raises awareness for AZA SAFE, which means Saving Animals From Extinction.

The whole movement taches the public just how big of a problem endangered animals is and the El Paso Zoo is happy to be amongst other accredited zoo's in the fight to end extinction of endangered animals.
