El Paso Zoo Holding Baby Shower for Orangutan Couple

In celebration of the newest addition to the orangutan family, the El Paso Zoo is throwing new mommy Ibu and proud papa Butch a baby shower this Sunday and you’re invited. This is the first Sumatran orangutan ever born at the zoo, and naturally the staff is super-excited about sharing this special time with the community.

Of course, like any first time mommy, Ibu needs a few things for herself and her newborn -- you know, new monkey mom must-haves like baby blankets, a primate toy holder, a tire swing, and Legos. So the zoo staff has set up a special baby registry in hopes of collecting supplies and enrichment toys for the new simian family.
