Make your yard prettier with some doo from the zoo this weekend.

The El Paso Zoo will giving away compost that was made from compostable zoo waste and a mix of other organic materials. You can get up to 20 pounds of compost per person for this one-time giveaway. You’ll need to bring your own containers to pick up the compost, and it is on a first come, first served basis. You won’t need a water bill or ID to pick up compost.

This compost program has kept over 180 tons of compostable zoo waste from ending up in the landfill. It will not only make your yard look good, but it will save that valuable space and extend the life of the landfill. Take your kids with you and they will be able to see that recycling and composting can really have an impact on everyday life.
