Guess who’s back. Back again… well, kind of.

You might remember that back in April it was reported that a dozen prairie dogs from the El Paso Zoo had gone missing!

But here’s the really crazy part….. They have been missing since 2021! But the people of El Paso barely found out 2 years later!

Months later and we still don’t know what happened to these missing prairie dogs BUT there is an update from the El Paso Zoo.

According to El Paso Zoo Director, the zoo has welcomed 12 new prairie dogs to their family. The family consists of six males and six females.

This family of prairie dogs come to El Paso from Sedwick County Zoo which is located in Wichita, Kansas.

If you plan on heading out to the zoo this weekend in hopes of seeing the new prairie dogs just know that they won’t be out quite yet.

According to Zoo officials, they will be quarantining the family for the time being, but they plan to debut them in about 30 days.

Zoo officials are  still not sure how the prairie dogs disappeared. I guess it’s a mystery that may never be solved.
