El Paso Woman Gets Shot, Then Arrested

A woman is in jail today after she got shot by her boyfriend this weekend.  You read that right – she’s the one who was shot and is in trouble.

El Paso Police were called out to a home in Central El Paso on Saturday night on reports of a shooting.  When they got there, they found a woman with a gunshot wound in her arm, and a man who said he had to shoot her after she charged at him with two knives.

The man said they had argued and after she bit him and punched him in the face, he locked himself in a bedroom.  She grabbed two knives, broke down the door, and that’s when he shot her.

The woman is expected to be okay, and will be facing charges in the incident.

The man was not arrested.
