Southern New Mexico State Fair – The annual fair features a rodeo, vendors, carnival rides, and live entertainment. 9 a.m. to midnight at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds, 12 miles west of Las Cruces off I-10. Admission pricesvary. More Details

El Paso Zoo – 35 acres of fun and adventure featuring exotic animals from around the world and family attractions such as the African Star Train, the Hunt Family Desert Spring splash pad, and the Foster Tree House Playground. 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 4001 E. La Union Corn Maze – In addition to the 13 acre cornfield maze, the farm features a mini-maze for the kids, tractor-pulled wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, an farm animal corral, cow train, pedal cars and other family activities, plus concessions. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in La Union, N.M., Highway 28 next to Zin Valle Winery. San Eli First Friday Art Walk & Ghost Tour – All of the art galleries stay open for this once a month evening event, which includes live music at the Bandido Cantina, a “Movie on the Wall” at sundown, and a Ghost Tour of the Old County Jail. 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the San Elizario Art District located off Socorro Road at Main Street.
