Minerpalooza 2015 - UTEP's annual back-to-school celebration features carnival games and activity booths, live entertainment, a Kid Zone, and a special appearance and concert by Taboo of the Blackeyed Peas. 6 p.m. to midnight in parking lot at the corner of Glory Road and Sun Bowl Drive on the UTEP campus. El Paso Playhouse presents ‘Blood Wedding’ – El Paso’s longest running Community Theater’s 52nd season continues with the classic tragedy that revolves around a death-bound love triangle. Showtime is 8 p.m. at the El Paso Playhouse, 2501 Montana. Ticket $10. More Details

Farmers Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing – The “producers only” market features area farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans selling organic and pesticide-free vegetables, locally-made goat cheeses, natural free range chickens and eggs, native plants for home and yard, fresh-baked breads and salsas. 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Downtown Artist and Farmers Market – The market offers the chance to shop for original arts and crafts and regionally grown produce in an outdoor setting while enjoying entertainment featuring local artists, food vendors and free activities for the entire family. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union Plaza District (near The Garden Restaurant) along Anthony Street. Parks and Rec Free Summer Music Series – Series highlights a variety of local acts while showcasing some of the city’s parks. Bring your lounge chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcomed. No alcohol. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tonight, Azucar performs at Vista del Valle Park, 1280 Hawkins Blvd.
