Las Cruces Country Music Festival – A celebration of country music in downtown Las Cruces featuring national and local acts. Festival gates open at 4 p.m. with local bands. Tonight's headliner is Kenny Rogers. Admission varies. More Details

Moore’s Greater Shows Carnival – Rides, games and of course, carnival food! 5 p.m.- midnight in the Cohen Stadium parking lot. Admission is FREE, ride tickets are $1 or $25 for a wristband good for unlimited rides. More Details

Alfresco! Fridays – Fresh-air performances from local bands playing various genres of music. 6 p.m. on the Convention Center Plaza. FREE. This week, PT & the Cruisers (classic rock). More Details

Public Ice Skating– Get your glide on in the area’s largest public ice skating rink. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Sierra Providence Event Center, 4100 E Paisano, behind the El Paso County Coliseum. Cost: $8, $6 Military. Admission includes skate rental. More Details

UTEP Dinner Theatre Presents ‘Mary Poppins’ – One of the most popular Disney movies of all time staged as a musical. Show time is 7 p.m., 2nd Floor UTEP’s Union Building West. Ticket prices vary. More Details

Farmers Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing – The “producers only” market features area farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans selling organic and pesticide-free vegetables, locally-made goat cheeses, natural free range chickens and eggs, native plants for home and yard, fresh-baked breads and salsas. 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. FREE admission.
