Here’s what’s going on in and around El Paso this weekend, February 14 – February 16. Some events are free, some will cost you a few bucks:

FRIDAY:

Live Horse Racing – The live horse racing season continues at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. Post time is 12:15 p.m. Free general admission and parking. More Details

Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitan – The legendary mariachi group which bills itself as “El mejor mariachi del mundo” returns to El Paso. 8 p.m. at the Plaza Theatre. Ticket prices vary. More Details

‘Sinatra Forever’ – A tribute to the life and music of Frank Sinatra starring Rich Michel, one of Las Vegas’ premier singers “who literally channels ‘Old Blue Eyes’ through his spot-on vocals of the legendary crooner.” 8 p.m. at UTEP’s Magoffin Auditorium. Tickets are $38. More Details

Friday at the Fire – Enjoy an evening of live music set against the ambiance of the Freedom Crossing outdoor fireplace. Tonight, Sha’Vonne 6- 11 p.m. Free.

Ice Skating – Whoosh around on ice skates in the area’s largest public ice skating rink. 7 p.m to 10 p.m. in the Sierra Providence Event Center, 4100 E Paisano, behind the El Paso County Coliseum. Cost: $8, $6 Military. Admission includes skate rental. More Details

UTEP Dinner Theatre Presents ‘Smokey Joe’s Cafe’ – A musical revue showcasing 39 pop standards, including rock and roll and rhythm and blues songs written by songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. 7 p.m., 2nd Floor UTEP’s Union Building West. Tickets prices vary. More Details

El Paso Rhinos Hockey – El Paso’s Junior League ice hockey team hosts the Valencia Flyers. 7:30 p.m. at the Sierra Providence Events Center, next to the Coliseum, 4100 E. Paisano. Ticket prices vary. More Details

Concordia Cemetery Valentine’s Day Ghost Tour – Join the Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society on a “dark and romantic ghost tour” of Concordia Cemetery and learn about the “betrayal, broken hearts and undying romance that lie within the cemetery walls.” 9 p.m. – 11 p.m. Cost is $10. More Details

SATURDAY:

‘Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth’ – Mike Tyson’s one-man show is a journey into his storied life and career, a rare, personal look inside the life of Mike Tyson. 8 p.m. at Abraham Chavez Theatre. Tickets are $68. More Details

Winter Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing – The “producers only” market features area farmers, backyard gardeners and artisans selling organic and pesticide-free vegetables, locally-made goat cheeses, natural free range chickens and eggs, native plants for home and yard, fresh-baked breads and salsas. 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (575) 589-0653, ext. 3

Downtown Artist and Farmers Market – The market offers the chance to shop for original arts and crafts and regionally grown produce in an outdoor setting while enjoying entertainment featuring local artists, food vendors and free activities for the entire family. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union Plaza District (near The Garden Restaurant) along Anthony Street.
