Fans of The Purple One will get the chance to go crazy and get nuts at the Plaza Theatre next when the El Paso Symphony Orchestra performs The Music of Prince.

The symphonic tribute to the beloved pop culture icon is set for Saturday, February 25, 2017.

That night, EPSO will perform tunes from Prince's extensive catalog accompanied by the country's leading Prince tribute singer/musician, and a full rock band. The 2 hour setlist will include familiar classics like Purple Rain, Little Red Corvette, and Kiss, as well as "lots of new musical colors," according to the symphony website.

That sounds like a fun show. And, hey, it's not everyday you get to see El Pasoans pull out their cellphone flashlights to Purple Rain at the symphony!

Known as a musical innovator who stretched the boundaries of multiple genres, Prince Rogers Nelson died from an accidental drug overdose last April at his Paisley Park home in Minnesota at the age of 57.
