El Paso Sheriff’s Office Looking For An Inmate Who Was Mistakenly Released From Jail
An inmate is missing from the El Paso County Jail because he was improperly released by El Paso County Sheriff's deputies. Paul Vibert, 40, was released from the jail on Friday afternoon, but was supposed to be transferred to New Mexico authorities. He was in jail on a 1996 warrant out of El Paso County involving drug posssesion.
EPSCO said Vibert was released from jail with several other inmates who were being properly released. Deputies are now on a manhunt for Vibert, and questioning the officers involved. The Sheriff's Office said they are also reviewing this incident to make sure something like this doesn't happen again.
