El Paso Ranked Cheapest Place to Say ‘I Do’

If you're planning a wedding, and keeping your costs down is at the top of the list, there's no better place to tie the knot than right here in El Paso, Tx.

According to financial-services website WalletHub, El Paso has the lowest average wedding cost among the 182 most populated U.S. cities for the third year in a row.

The finding was part of the site's recently released "2020’s Best Places to Get Married" list, which compared and ranked America's largest metropolitan areas based on key indicators of nuptial-friendliness such as average wedding costs, the number of available venues and wedding related services, and the number of nearby activities and attractions.

Although El Paso ranked in the bottom half in the "Facilities & Services" category, it was tops when it came to lowest average wedding cost.

The Wallethub study did not give any specifics on how much less a wedding in El Paso will set you back compared to other cities, but according to the Wedding Wire's 2019 Newlywed report, the average couples drops around $38,000 on their wedding. That includes the price for an engagement ring, honeymoon, ceremony and reception.
