TRAFFIC ALERT: Semi Truck Accident Will Affect Thursday Morning Commute

El Paso police are on the scene of an early morning accident and it’s going to affect the morning commute.

Police say a semi-truck flipped over on Geronimo and I-10 East.  Two people have been taken to the hospital, but there are no reports of any serious injuries at this time.  It’s not known if speed or alcohol were factors in this accident, or if there were any other cars involved.

Right now, what you need to know is I-10 East in the Geronimo area has been closed down.  The east bound Trowbridge and Geronimo on-ramps are closed, but you can go past them on the gateway and get on the on-ramps past the accident.

There is a tow truck on the scene, but it’s not known how long it will take to get the scene cleared.  There is also reportedly a light pole that sustained damage in the accident.  El Paso Electric emergency crews are on the scene.
