If you're looking for something free, fun and educational to do with the kids, take in a show at the Gene Roddenberry Planetarium this month. And -- bonus! -- it's a cheap, entertaining way to beat the June heat.

Monday through Thursday, June 18-21, and Monday through Wednesday, June 25-27, the planetarium will be hosting 3 different programs (see below) for families and individuals interested in learning about our planet and the solar system.

• 11 a.m. - "Perfect Little Planet"
• 2 p.m. - "Earth, Moon & Sun"
• 4 p.m. - "A Starry Tale"

This year for the first time, the majority of tickets will only be available online. Eighty of the 120 available seats will be distributed exclusively online. The remaining 40 seats will be made available one hour before each presentation on a first come first serve basis. Because the programs are free and seating is limited, it's recommended you consider reserving your seats in advance.

Online reservations can be made beginning 4 days before the date of the show. You'll find the link to do that here.
