Kids to Parks Day is the designated national day of outdoor play and everyone is invited to head outdoors on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

To help celebrate Kids to Parks Day, the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Trust, will host the annual celebration from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the Memorial Garden Center located at 3105 Grant Ave.

Children and their families will be able to participate in a variety of fun outdoor activities including:

  • Family friendly games
  • Demonstrations
  • Hiking
  • Archery
  • Fly-casting

Kids to Parks Day encourages children and families to visit a city, state, or national park to improve their health and fitness while connecting to nature through outdoor activities.
